Makhadzi escapes gun shot<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Makhadzi<\/strong> is one the most creative and talented South African female artiste. She has been known for her numerous hits in the industry. She is best known for her songs “Themba muthu<\/strong>” and “Matorokisi<\/strong>“.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Her efforts in the industry have earned her the popularity that she has today. Her album\u00a0“Kokovha<\/strong>” which she released in 2020 brought one of her biggest successes and debuted at number one on the South African iTunes albums charts. It contained the chart-topping singles “Amadoda<\/strong>“, “Mphemphe<\/strong>“, “Kokovha<\/strong>” and “Tshikwama<\/strong>” Makhadzi was saved from death after she was robbed by two gunmen who shot at her on Saturday night.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to reports from\u00a0SowetanLIVE<\/em>, the singer was to perform at Ga-Rankuwa Shisanyama in Tshwane that Sunday, as she was relaxing in her car outside the venue, she was approached by robbers who took her phone f. Makhadzi escapes death after two gunmen robbed her and shot at her on Saturday night.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to\u00a0SowetanLIVE<\/em>, the singer who was to perform at Ga-Rankuwa Shisanyama in Tshwane relaxed in her car outside the venue and was approached by the robbers who took her phone from her. She tried escaping from the scene with her dancer when the two gunmen shot at her but they missed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Open Mic Records company released a statement after the incident and the statement reads:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI [as road manager] notified the promoter that we have arrived. The dancers were shown a table to settle [down] and wait. Makhazi<\/strong> remained in the car to rest and there was no security [guards] around.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The statement added: \u201cThe guy put his gun on Makhazi\u2019<\/strong>s neck and took her phone. And when she started screaming and running he [cocked] his gun and shot towards Makhazi<\/strong> and her dancers but missed them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cEveryone who was at the parking lot ran away. Upon leaving the venue we (Makhazi<\/strong>, dancer, and me) noticed a car following us, we went to the nearest police station. We opened a case at Ga-Rankuwa police station. Police even escorted us out of Ga-Rankuwa.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The co-owner of the company, Lionel Jamela said they are shocked that someone would want to harm their superstar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cToday (Tuesday), we have organised a counseling [session] for her and the dancers just to deal with the trauma. As the company, we promised to beef up security for our artistes when they go out to work.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Everyone attacked is fine but no one has been arrested. Meanwhile, Provincial police spokesperson Col Dimakatso Sello confirmed that a case of robbery has been opened at Ga-Rankuwa police station.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Thank God for saving her life. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
