He spent the night at the Sandton police station and will appear at the Randburg magistrate\u2019s court on Monday, over a case of Gender Based Violence (GBV). The ugly incident occurred after Phongolo confronted Maphorisa about an argument they had started at the gig where they both attended. Things quickly spiraled out of control which led to <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.amapiano.co\/za\/dj-maphorisa\/\">DJ Maphorisa<\/a><\/strong> assaulting the female deejay and actress, <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.amapiano.co\/za\/thuli-phongolo\/\">Thuli Phongolo<\/a><\/strong> \u201cHe held me, took me to the balcony, and grabbed me aggressively by my neck,\u201d the former Generations: The Legacy\u2019s actress revealed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Thuli\u2019s manager says to Sunday World, \u201cWe are still trying to gather how she is doing. I am seeing her in the next hour \u2026 We just need to actually figure out what is happening \u2026 She was with her road manager&#8221; In response, Phongolo reached out to the police which led to the arrest of the piano lord. The two have been reportedly dating for almost two years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.amapiano.co\/za\/dj-maphorisa\/\">DJ Maphorisa<\/a><\/strong> is currently being kept at the Sandton Police Station and will appear in Randburg Magistrate court Tomorrow <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A source close to the case revealed that the Amapiano star tried getting bail but was refused.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cHe is facing a serious charge of assault GBV and he can only get bail in court for that, so he has to stay behind bars overnight before he can get bail,\u201d said the source.
