Tumelo Thandokuhle Mathebula, known by his stage name Tweezy, was born on 24 October 1992 in Johannesburg, South Africa. He is a South African record producer and rapper who has made a name for himself in the local music industry. At present, Tweezy is 32 years old.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Early Life and Career<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Tumelo Mathebula moved to Johannesburg in Gauteng after the passing of his parents when he was just six years old. During his time in grade 10, he was introduced to FL Studio, a music-making software he initially mistook for a “music-making game.” After realizing its true purpose, he began exploring music production.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tweezy became part of a music group called “Ghetto Prophecy,” consisting of eight members. In 2011, they produced the track “Oh My,” which reached number 16 on the YFM Top 40 songs and received frequent airplay on Metro FM and 5FM. However, the group disbanded due to a lack of financial support, leading Tweezy to pursue a solo career as a music producer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In 2014, Tweezy earned his first nomination for Producer of the Year at the SA Hip Hop Awards and won the award in 2015. He was also named Producer of the Year by Hype Magazine. He released his debut solo single “Ambitions,” which climbed to number two on YFM’s Urban Top 40. Tweezy later released a remix of “Ambitions,” featuring South African rapper Khuli Chana, Nigerian artist Ice Prince, and singer-songwriter Victoria Kimani.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
