Check Out The List Of Amapiano Artists To Perform At Cotton Fest 2022

Cotton Fest is an annual event that was established by the late Riky Rick. The late rapper has the mission of grooming the upcoming artistes before he establish this fest. Today he is no longer in the world to continue with this mission but trust me his legacy will continue to be alive. Cotton Fest, which was supposed to take place in March 19 and 20, 2022 was postponed after the rapper’s death occurred in February 23, 2022.

Nevertheless, after much deliberations, the wife of the late rapper Bianca Naidoo has decided that it would be very unfail to cancel the annual event, so she postpone it to a new date.

We are happy go tell you all that the new dates for the Cotton Fest Class of 2022 are April 22 and 23. “We have to continue to keep his spirit and legacy alive" There is no other better way to achieve this than to continue the good work that Riky Rick started.

To honour his spirit, more than 130 local artists will be performing at the event which is set to take place at the Old Station in Newtown, Joburg. “Cotton Fest must move ahead as planned by him! He had this spirit of love and belief in showcasing that young and upcoming talent is unquestionable, which is how Cotton Fest came about a few years back. In his own words, ‘we never die, we multiply!’ Let’s build on this energy and continue to spread the love and light at a time when we need it the most,” said Naidoo.

The list of the guest artistes are as follows: DBN Gogo, AKA, Boity, Cassper Nyovest, Costa Titch, Distruction Boys, Kamo Mphela, Kuli Chana, Uncle Waffles and Zakes Bantwini.

The festival will not only be about music but will also include Riky Rick’s other passions: fashion, a games area, a food court and a live skating competition.
