It's a rather dark and solemn evening this Friday as news of the shooting of AKA reaches every corner of Mzansi. The multi-award-winning musician was shot and killed this evening while in Durban.

Minutes after the shooting, Tweets began flying in, as rumors of AKA's death spread like wildfire. It did not take long for confirmations to start dripping in as other artists and celebrities began Tweeting Broken Heart Emoji.

Another Twitter user confirmed the sad news after sharing an image of AKA's Show which the event organizers have now canceled.

At this moment, the official news from the Police is that the rapper was shot by a yet unidentified shooter. They did not confirm whether or not the rapper is still alive, but from all indications, it would seem that our beloved Kiernan Forbes (AKA) is no more.

Our hearts go out to the entire Forbes family at this difficult time. RiP AKA. You will be missed.
