Flvme blames OGs for SA hip hop slow growth: Flvme opens up about the reasons behind the lack of growth of Hip Hop in South Africa.

In the last 12 months, SA hip hop has been uncrown by Amapiano genre, and lots of reviews have pointed at rappers over this issue.

Speaking in his Twitter handle this Thursday, Flvme condemned rappers who have been in the game for years now, and have deprived new talents and stars to come in.

“SA HIP HOP WILL KEEP HAVING STUNTED GROWTH AND SLOW AS LONG AS WE KEEP THE SAME FACES … IT’S BEEN THE SAME PEOPLE FOR YEARS NOW !!!”

Taking to Twitter on Thursday, Flvme firstly blamed rappers who have spent years in the game, and refusing to let new faces and talents take over.

He went on to say that one of the reasons why the genre is not growing is because people (Mzansi) don’t take pride in their artists.

“South Africa Has got The Best Hip Hop Scene . It’s Jus Not moving Forward Because Of How I/We Look At It . We Don’t Appreciate and Encourage Our Artists . Niggaz Jus Wanna Break Us Down Instead Of Lifting Us Up,” he added.
