The High Sierra annual music festival was held from July 2 - 5. “Home Sierra” replaced the year’s annual event, which was canceled due to the coronavirus COVID-19 pandemic. HSMF revealed a schedule that featured live-from-home performances broadcasting from Thursday through Sunday.

The stream was made available at the HSMF home page, on KVMR Community Radio and nugs.net. Live sets scheduled for the opening day (Thursday, July 2) included Dan “Lebo” Lebowitz, Steve Poltz, Shook Twins, Chris Chandler and Carolyn Wonderland.

Friday’s live performance lineup featured Marco Benevento, Grahame Lesh, Ron Artis II, Marty O’Reilly and Alfred Howard.

Saturday’s Fourth Of July live sets came from Anders Osborne, Cris Jacobs and Nathan Moore. The Independence Day archival performance lineup presented past footage of Trey Anastasio Band, The String Cheese Incident, Ernest Ranglin, Yonder Mountain String Band, Greensky Bluegrass, Leftover Salmon, The California Honeydrops and more.

Sunday’s live action was supplied by Luther Dickinson and Dan Bern. Archival sets on Sunday featured Tedeschi Trucks Band, Toots & The Maytals, Maceo Parker, NRBQ, Surprise Me Mr. Davis and several others.

The 30th annual High Sierra Music Festival is now slated to take place July 1 – 4, 2021 at the event’s longtime home of Quincy, California’s Plumas County Fairgrounds.
