“I had 81 songs,” Kabza De Small on his “KOA 2” album

Kabza De Small spoke about his latest project, King of Amapiano (KOA 2) album.

During an interview which he had with Spotify, the King of Amapiano spoke about the making of his new album which received lots of applause.

He went further to make known to the general public that the project came initially with long tracklists of about 81 tracks but it was impossible for him to drop them all, hence, his team intervened in the selection of the songs.

He dropped this statement in his Instagram page and it reads:

“I work every day, so choosing the songs was tough for me because I had maybe 81 songs, and I can’t drop 81 songs at the same time. So I had to choose, it was tough, shout out to my team,” he said.

Imagine if Kabza had released an album of 82 songs, it would have been a record breaker for an African. Currently, the most songs on a digital album is 446, and was achieved by Mark Lee and The Pocket Gods (both UK) with the album titled "500X30 Morse Code Days In Lockdown", released on 1 May 2021.
