Sir Trill Drops Hints of Battling With Depression Via his Twitter Account.

Thing do not seem to be going so well with Sir Trill at the moment. Despite enjoying a meteoric rise to stardom, bagging awards and being the voice behind some of Amapiano's biggest hits, the vocalist might be suffering bouts of depression.

The pressures that come with stardom in the entertainment industry is very well documented and has even swallowed some of our favorites. Just recently, South African rapper, Riky Rick (God bless his soul) bowed to the pressures of depression and took his life. It broke our hearts and that of millions of South Africans as the rapper was well loved by all and sundry.

Sir Trill has enjoyed a very good run in the industry, gaining widespread popularity courtesy of Prince Kaybee's Hosh. But it was his time with De Mthuda and Ntokzin that really cemented his status in the industry as he was involved in hit after hit. Songs with Mdoovar and Mhaw Keys also showed how versatile the singer really is.

Despite all of these accolades, the vocalist recently published a Tweet that has caught our attention and that of his followers and fans. Sir Trill recently tweeted, “I’M LOSING THIS BATTLE”.

While the vocalist did not disclose anything else, the Tweet might be indicative of some kind of mental or internal struggle with depression and his mental health.

The issue of depression and mental health has become a reoccurring theme and topic in our world today. According to a September 2021 publication from WHO, it is estimated that 5.0% of adults suffer from depression and it is the leading cause of disability worldwide. It is also implicated in the progression and prognosis of many diseases.

We really hope that Sir Trill wins his battle and we wish to tell him how much we love him and appreciate his music.
