Mdu aka TRP is one of the founding fathers of Amapiano and one of the main forces behind it's creation and progression. The producer continually experiments with new sounds and in his latest Groove Cartel Mix he previewed a new song that sent fans into hysteria mode. The Track 3 of his Groove Cartel Mix featured a new type of sound.

Amapiano as a genre of music is characterized by the use of the log drum (ilog drum) and piano melodies. Track 3 featured something quite different. With less focus on logs but still soulful in nature. It's sounds more like a kind of oceanic funk house music.

Fans have applauded the effort from Mdu and they seem to be loving this new sound.
