Pabi Cooper Secures BET Awards 2023 Nomination

Pabi Cooper whose real name is Paballo Basetsana Mothapo has secured the 2023 BET Awards Nomination for Viewer's Choice (Best International Act). Pabi Cooper will be the first Amapiano artist to secure a BET nomination. In this year's award, she will be up against Nigeria's Asake, Ghana's Camidoh, UK's FLO, Cameroon's Libianca, France's Maureen, Brazil's Mc Ryan SP, UK's RAYE and France's Werenoi.

From someone who metamorphosed from a common dancefloor dancer to an Amapiano vocalist, this nomination is a big win to not only Pabi Cooper but the entire Music scene. This year's award will air LIVE on BET on Sunday, June 25, 2023, at 8 PM ET/ 5 PM PT.

The excited singer took to social media to announce "PROUD TO ANNOUNCE THAT IM NOMINATED FOR THE BET AWARDS", she wrote.
