Sammy Moripe, also known as “Pencil” from the Bacardi duo Pencil & Zing Master, has passed away.

The Amapiano pioneer’s cause of death is currently unknown, but his passing was confirmed on social media and has been met with several tributes.

One tweet announcing his death expressed condolences to the Moripe family and described his passing as a significant loss for the Atteridgeville and Pretoria townships.
