Tresor's Fourth Solo Studio Album follows on from his collaborations with Scorpion Kings on RUMBLE IN THE JUNGLE and the Kaleidoscopic Afropop of Nostalgia. Crafting an album without borders and unrestricted by time and season, he infuses highlife, percission, maskandi guitar and Afro Jazz rhythms into his latest project.
While embedding these traditional African sounds, the singer's signature inclination towards experimentation ties this continental DNA into vibrant pop, dance and electronic soundscapes. The Da Capo and Sun-El Musician assisted opener "Lighthouse" sets the tone for TRESOR boldly venturing into the contemporary sounds of his collaborators. He references Afropop in the Ami Faku-assisted "Smokes and Mirrors", and infuses Amapiano on the Scorpion Kings assisted Nyota and Makosa and finally reunites with Afro-house on "Hold Me Down" featuring Msaki.
